Progesterex Hoax

Yesterday, a friend sent me an email containing the following messages:

A woman at a bar on a Saturday night was taken by 5 men, who, according to hospital and police reports, gang raped her before dumping her. Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed the repeat rapes, along with traces of Rohypnol in
her blood and Progesterex, essentially a small sterilization pill. The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize their victims. Progesterex is available
to vets to sterilize large animals. Progesterex is being used together with Rohypnol, the date rape drug.

As with Rohypnol, all they have to do is drop it into the girl’s drink. The girl can’t remember a thing the next morning, of all that had taken place the night before. Progesterex, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that the victim doesn’t get pregnant; she won’t conceive from the rape and the rapist needn’t worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later.
The drug’s effects ARE NOT TEMPORARY - They are P*E*R*M*A*N*E*N*T!!!
Progesterex was designed to sterilize horses.. Any female who takes it will NEVER BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE… The weasels can get this drug from anyone who is in the vet school or any university. It’s that easy, and Progesterex is about to break out big on
campuses everywhere. Believe it or not, there are even sites on the Internet telling people how to use it.
Please forward this to everyone you know, especially girls.. Be careful when you’re out and don’t leave your drink unattended.

Please make the effort to forward this on to all you know… Guys, please inform all your female friends and relatives!

HIV Pin Prick Attacks

My previous college professor sent me an email claiming HIV is scattered by leaving pin with HIV contaminated blood on theater seats. The email contains the following:

Be Careful
(Don’t avoid. Please read this mail)

Dear All,
Kindly take a couple of minutes to go thru this mail. If useful may advise
others also . Please pass this on to others this happened in Paris
recently and may happen elsewhere also.
A few weeks ago, in a cinema , a person felt something poking from her seat. When she got up to see what it was, she found a needle sticking out of the seat with a
note attached saying “You have just been infected by HIV (AIDS)”.
The DiseaseControlCenter(in Paris) reports many similar events
in many other cities recently. All tested needles were HIV Positive.

PS: It also happened in a Monot pub in Lebanon so be careful!
The Center also reports that needles have been found in cash dispensers
(ATM) at public banking machines. We ask everyone to use extreme caution
when faced with this kind of situation. All public chairs/seats should
be inspected with vigilance and caution before use. A careful visual inspection
should be enough. In addition, they ask that each of you pass this message
along to all members of your family and your friends of the potential danger.

Recently, one doctor has narrated a somewhat similar instance that happened
to one of his patients at the Priya Cinema in Delhi. A young girl, engaged
and about to be married in a couple of months, was pricked while the movie
was going on. The tag with the needle had the message “Welcome
to the World of HIV family”.
Though the doctors told her family that it takes about 6 months before
the virus grows strong enough to start damaging the system
and a healthy victim could survive about 5-6 years, the girl died in 4
months, perhaps more because of the “Shock thought”. We all have
to be careful at public places, rest God help! Just think about saving
a life by forwarding this message. Please, take a few seconds of your time
to pass along.

Kindly
pass this to every one. Probably your mail can help some save his/her life.

Two-Striped Telamonia - Email Hoax

This email quoted below, which I received from a friend. Carefully read and I will explain what I have found about interesting points:

Dear Friends,

IMPORTANT INFORMATION (pls inform also ur friends w/o emails)
Three women in North Florida turned up at hospitals over

a 5-day period, all with the same symptoms.

Fever, chills, and vomiting, followed by muscular collapse,

paralysis and finally, death.

There were no outward signs of trauma.

Autopsy results showed toxicity in the blood. These women did not know each other and seemed to have nothing in common. It was discovered, however, that they had all visited the
same Restaurant (Olive Garden) within days of their deaths. The Health Department descended on the restaurant , shutting it down. The food, water, and air conditioning were all inspected and tested, to no avail.

The big break came when a waitress at the restaurant was rushed to the hospital with similar symptoms. She told doctors that she had been on vacation, and had only went to the restaurant to pick up her check.

She did not eat or drink while she was there, but had used the restroom.

That is when one toxicologist, remembering an article he had read, drove out to the restaurant, went into the restroom and lifted the toilet seat .

Under the seat, out of normal view, was a small spider. The spider was captured and brought back to the lab, where it was determined to be the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata), so named because of its reddened flesh color.&nb sp; This spider’s venom is extremely toxic, but can take several days to take effect. They live in cold, dark,
damp climates, and toilet rims provide just the right atmosphere.

Several days later a lawyer from Jacksonville showed up at a hospital emergency room. Before his death, he told the doctor, that he had been away on business, had taken a flight from Indonesia , changing planes in Singapore , before returning home. He did NOT visit (Olive Garden),
while there. He did (as did all of the other victims) have what was determined to be a puncture wound, on his right buttock. Investigators discovered that the flight he was on had originated in India .

The Civilian Aeronautics Board (CAB) ordered an
immediate inspection of the toilets of all flights from India and discovered the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata) spider’s nests on 4 different planes!

It is now believed that these spiders can be anywhere in the country.

So please, before you use a public toilet, lift the seat to check for spiders. It can save your life!

And please pass this on to everyone you care about.

What are Email Hoaxes?

Email hoaxes spread misinformation, waste bandwidth, and lessen the effectiveness of email as a communication medium. Around the world, Internet scammers steal millions of dollars per year from unsuspecting Internet users. These criminal activities are successful largely because many Internet users are not aware of the ways in which scammers operate and may not recognize scam attempts if they are targeted.

Many users inadvertently compromise their online privacy and the security of their computer equipment because of poor computer security practices.

In this section I will try to add old/new hoaxes/spams, you can also help me by emailing me suspected email hoax/spam and I will do the rest.
