Dattebayo trolled by Filipino Television (NOT)
My friend send me a link, which comes from dattabayo. Apparently a video from youtube which claims ABS-CBN aired a TAGALOG version of Naruto Shippuuden opening song (Heroe’s Come Back), dattebayo is claiming part of their subbed shippuuden episodes.
So what’s the deal? Well according to the dattebayo that youtube video started a ring of controversy which lead dattebayo to put “a little message at the end of our Shippuuden episode 26, something long the lines of LOL @ FILIPINO TV.”. Which fired up accusations from the REAL Filipinos of being racist, homosexual, insensitive, and disrespectful, loads of crap. And at the end of the story, dattebayo defines two points:
About Dattebayo and About Philipines, where the first is a positve definition and the last was somewhat too disappointing.
So what is my point? Well my point is…guys…. FYI, YHBT!, what i mean is:

Yes guys, I would bet on this one again as another famous prank of dattebayo, and I am 99.99% sure that it’s another joke, a joke I think I do not want to hear again from them. Yeah I am pissed but before I get onto that let me tell you the clues which makes me think this story is fake:
1. a little message at the end of our Shippuuden episode 26, something long the lines of “LOL @ FILIPINO TV”.
I watched the episode again and no message which they claimed was found.
“LOL Filipino TV” was included after the opening theme (exactly 3:25) thanks for the correction.
2. but there seem to be about 20 other copies of the same thing (typical JewTube crap)
went to www.jewtube.com, not even 1 naruto crap video is there, you can by the way other if you like to prove me wrong, im just not in the mood to check the other.
3. After much lolling, Dattebayo ex-member ‘timecop’ decided to take this matter in his own hands and post a public apology to all Filipinos, ABS-CBN TV, and anyone else who was hurt or saddened by the comment in episode 26.
never found ‘timecop’ public apology, i guessed it was not so public after all
4. DATTEBAYO SHOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE THINKING SUCH AS THIS AS A JOKE!, you might end up being a victim of your own joke in the future. Well i guess a REAL public apology should be taken in consideration.

Here’s whats up:
1.) The “LOL @ filipino tv” thing. It’s right before the episode starts in the opening intro.
2.) They meant Youtube and not really Jewtube. The intarwebs called Youtube as Jewtube long before there was an actual Jewtube.
3.) His public apology was that link to that whole anonymous coward thing.
4.) The whole thing flared up when some Filipinos got all “uppity” when they saw the “LOL @ filipino tv” thing. It never was meant to be racist at all. Thats how timecop dug that anonymous coward thing up (I be that anonymous coward is also filipino himself).

If you ask me, ABS-CBN should be the one giving the apology, it is clear that they had even shown the “This is a Dattebayo funsub.. FREE!” (something like that) text on the opening. Why? They should get their copies from the original source (video, translation, etc) but why get them from the TV raws from dattebayo? Profiting from what someone releases for free! Shameful I tell you, and the reaction of my fellow Filipinos are all but shameful too, we deserve that link to About Philippines in Dattebayo’s website.

2. can you confirm if the opening theme was really aired at ABS-CBN using dattebayo’s copy?
3. I do not see any “apology” written on that link, it was an old post saved on timecop’s own website.
4. I think you are right that there was no intention at all on the episode 26 message, but my point is dattebayo should have remained at the true issue which is an allegedly fansub video was used on national TV. That’s all, they should not cross that boundary, in my point of view. But they have….

1. Just to clarify things, is it true that ABSCBN already airing Shippuuden on Philippine TV? — To what I read from other postings on youtube, I believe it wasn’t real. So Dattebayo was been TROLLED by this, from someone who created that video.
2. Now the issue just became serious when Dattebayo didn’t even try to see whether if that video posted on youtube was really true. Reacting immediately (posting LOL@FilTV) [Email address: LOL #AT# FilTV) - replace #AT# with @ ] and then later on deciding to apologize to settle the issue.
3. They apologize (yeah, right! crap!) but as you could see at there press release here: http://www.dattebayo.com/pr/43 the references they use under About Philippines was a SPAM or rather hate letter from someone known as Art Bell. (What a shame on that group! DATTEBAYO… didn’t even try to get the real facts before posting there articles… DB = Don’t Believe… what a bunch of gullible members!)

the issue here is, either DB are reacting to a video which have not been verified true or if they are only using this issue to JOKE around. Both are not enough to satisfy the fact that DB issued an official statement targeting Filipinos in a negative approach.
Even though the letter was allegedly a hoax, it is still not a reason to use for joking around.

Here’s a breakdown of what I think happened:
1.) Some dude makes an intro on youtube using dattebayo fansub of naruto and slapping the abs-cbn crap on it.
2.) Either a self-loathing filipino (hypocrite) or a non-filipino tells Dattebayo about the thing.
3.) Dattebayo sees it tries to take a neutral stance or maybe just a “harmless jab” (no offense intended) at the video by doing the “LOL@Filipino TV”
4.) Overly-sensitive and brash Filipinos take the message as a racist attack and start to spam Dattebayo.
5.) Being Spammed isn’t fun especially if you’ve got multiple channels of communication open to the public (mirc, email, youtube, forums) and assclowns are trying to attack you with messages that have no intelligence at all. Dattebayo is pissed and uses that “Apology” to get back at said assclowns.
If you think im exaggerating about the “Overly-sensitive and brash Filipinos” well Im not. Remember Art Bell? You’ve probably heard of him from a well circulated email from your fellow Filipinos. Basically the email casts him as racist and critical of the “Filipino Race”. Well the email is pure BS. He married a Filipina and is broadcasting his popular US radio show in the Philippines. Come to think of it most of that anonymous coward letter sounds very similar to that “Filipinos make me puke” letter allegedly from Art Bell. I wouldn’t be surprised if a Filipino wrote that “Filipinos make me puke” letter and put Art Bell’s name on it just so he can get back at Art Bell.

As far as I know ABS-CBN doesn’t show an ANIME with sub TAGALOG.

#9 is right, and i dont think abs-cbn is still airing naruto, they now air bleach. they havent even reached shippuden before it stopped airing.
and, my guess is that someone tweaked with the sippuden opening and put abs-cbn’s logo, posted it on youtube. someone told dattebayo and dattebayo reacted.. ehehe, they got fooled so i guess that’s why they used that stupid article to get back at us. they did well cause it really hits,
and why am i not finding abs-cbn’s reply to all of this?

Here’s my two cents on this one. Though we’re not quite sure whether they’ve been trolled or what, it’s still saddening.
I believe that Dattebayo has been trolled. As your theories of a guy slapping an ABS-CBN sign on the video, that might actually be true. If you look at this link (www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOZc_5Hptus) you will notice that the video has been removed by the “USER”, not by youtube.com. Maybe because he felt like he’s done his job of pissing people off, and now it’s causing havoc, so he took it to himself and took it out. Or maybe because he was ordered by someone to take it off. Of course it’s not youtube who told him to do that, since they could’ve taken it out themselves.
Also, as far as I know, Filipino Animes are really far behind compare to what you’re downloading and watching. They haven’t even reached Shippuden episodes. Hell, they even barely finished the regular episode because it’s too damn long. And Episode 26 of Shippuden? Come on.
Even if my deductions are wrong, I still believe that Dattebayo has been trolled. For I don’t see a reason why they would bash on Filipino race in such a manner. Also, I don’t see a reason why ABS-CBN would download an episode, dub/sub it, then air it when they know they’ll get in trouble for it. Troll or not, this is really sad. It brings the human race a million years back of stupidity.
